We have just received a glowing report from OFSTED. If you would like to read what they said about Rainbow Nursery, please click on the following link:
Rainbow Nursery is situated in a quiet rural location on the outskirts of Saxtead village near Framlingham. As it is set on a farm, there is ample opportunity for the children to explore the countryside in safety and to discover the variety of life around them.
The actual nursery is set in a converted cart lodge, which offers a spacious environment in which to work and play whilst being warm and homely. There is an enclosed garden with a climbing frame on a safety bark surface and plenty of room for games and exercise.
COME AND SEE US!
We would love to welcome you and your child to Rainbow, so that you can see for yourself the caring, warm and very happy environment in which the children thrive.

At Rainbow Day Nursery in Saxtead, each child is set on the road to achieving their full potential in a happy, safe, caring and fun environment. Their time at Rainbow helps prepare them for life and for the 'big school' years ahead.
Rainbow is owned and led by Sheena Giblett, who holds a BEd Honours Degree in Early Years Education and Psychology, and all supporting Rainbow Staff are qualified to a minimum of Level 3.
UNDER 3'S
Rainbow Nursery provides a safe and welcoming environment for very young children. Children can start here when they are two years old, and, as we have facilities for nappy changing, they don't have to be toilet trained. Our NNEB Nursery Nurse oversees their care and progress, with all satff trained to follow the approach described in the DfES publication 'Birth to Three Matters: a framework to support children in their earliest years.'
FOUNDATION STAGE
The vital foundation stage has its own early learning goals, and at Rainbow we carefully structure our wide range of fun activities to prepare the children for the National Curriculum at Key Stage 1 in primary school.
RISING FIVES
As children near the age of admission to formal education, we work with parents/carers to prepare them for this major step in their lives. In addition to giving them a good grounding in maths and literacy, we address the issues which can affect confidence when a child first starts at primary school, such as taking turns, co-operating in a group, and dressing and undressing for P.E.
LINKS WITH HOME AND SCHOOL
We value highly the relationship between home and school, and all parents are welcome to come and observe what the children are actually doing, and to talk about their child's progress and happiness.
THE RAINBOW DAY
Our day consists of activity periods, snack and lunch times, play time and story time. The children spend time working and playing individually, in small groups and in a larger group.
During term times, Rainbow's opening hours are 9am - 3.30pm. We can also offer extended hours from 8.30am - 4pm.
The day is divided into two sessions: 9am - 12 noon and 12.30pm - 3.30pm.
The amount of sessions your child attends is, of course, your choice; some children attend five full days a week, while others are here for just a few sessions.
If you have any questions, or want to come and see what we do at the nursery, please contact Sheena on 01728 621449.
